What types of insurance do you offer?
Term life, whole life, final expense, mortgage protection, family income protection and fixed/fixed indexed annuities. We also connect veterans with trusted benefit partners.
How do I know which policy is right for me?
We start with a free consultation about your family, finances and goals, then compare options from multiple carriers and explain the trade-offs in plain English.
Is life insurance expensive?
Often less than people expect. Price depends on age, health, coverage amount and policy type. Term life for a healthy adult can cost less than a streaming subscription or two per month.
Which insurance companies do you work with?
As an independent agency, we can quote carriers including Mutual of Omaha, Transamerica, Americo, Corebridge Financial, F&G, Foresters Financial, American-Amicable, National Life Group, Aetna and Athene. Availability varies by state and product, and we're not owned by or endorsed by any of them.
Do I need a medical exam?
Not always. Many policies are simplified-issue — health questions only — and guaranteed-acceptance options exist for final expense.
Veterans & first responders
Should I keep VGLI or buy private life insurance?
Compare both. VGLI is guaranteed if you apply on time but gets more expensive every five years. Private coverage can lock in a rate. See our SGLI vs VGLI guide.
Can I get coverage with a service-connected disability?
Often yes. Carriers underwrite conditions differently, which is why shopping multiple carriers matters.
Do you help with VA claims?
No. We don't file VA claims or charge for benefit guidance. We connect veterans with trusted partners and free, VA-accredited resources.

Is Guardian Protection part of Guardian Life or Guardian home security?
No. Guardian Protection is an independent, veteran-led life insurance agency in Alpharetta, Georgia, founded by Matt Wilson. We're a separate, independently owned business, not part of The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America and not related to Guardian Protection home security. As an independent agency, we compare policies from multiple insurance carriers.
